Fort Village in North Texas Dates Back to the Republic Era

Roadside Stop: Fort Inglish Village in Bonham Texas

Located in Bonham, Texas near the Red River, Fort Inglish was built during the Republic of Texas to provide protection for the families who had settled in the area.

Today, visitors can see three cabins collected locally and staged as a general store, a log cabin home, and the Inez Inglish cabin. The village also features a blacksmith shop, a school/church, and a stockade with several interesting artifacts to check out.
