Cinco de Mayo Journal | DIY Activity Book

What is Cinco de Mayo? Many people think it’s Mexican Independence Day, but this is a misconception. This fun day that comes around every 5th of May actually originated from a battle with the French army in 1862 in Puebla, Mexico.

The Cinco de Mayo DIY Journal is a guide for learning about the history and culture of the holiday using your own creativity and choosing resources that are interesting to you.

Below are some suggestions and resources for completing this journal, but students are encouraged to choose materials themselves!
