Why Visit Gator Country Adventure Park in Beaumont, TX?

Gator Country is a sanctuary for alligators run by folks who love them. The park offers educational programs, live demonstrations, and interactive experiences that allow visitors to learn about and interact with these fascinating creatures in a safe and controlled environment. In addition to the alligators, the park also features other exotic reptiles, a petting zoo, and family-friendly picnic and play areas.

The Gator Country rescue crew has been featured on two TV series: Gator 911 and currently Texas Gator Savers. Viewer are given an inside look at the team as they respond to calls from residents concerning alligators that have ventured into neighborhoods or public spaces. The goal being to safeguard both the animals and people.

Alligators

Find two of the largest alligators in Texas, Big Tex and Big Al. See several habitats with alligators at various life stages as you make your way along the boardwalks.

Indoor Reptile Exhibits

The reptile area houses an assortment of interesting creatures, many of which you can interact with. Staff are on hand to answer your questions and ensure you have an educational and fun experience.

Educational Chats and Encounters

Knowledgeable staff and interns host educational and feeding shows. Visitors can wade with small alligators and interact with many other reptiles.

Petting Zoo

The petting zoo area invites visitors to “step over the fence” for a chance to feed the tortoises, goats, ducks, and chickens. You can also purchase food for the alligators.

Food and Picnic Area

They serve full meals (burgers, chicken strips, etc.,) snacks, and drinks and provide several places to sit and eat throughout the park.

Playground and Splash Pad

The picnic tables are conveniently located near the playground, making it easy for families to enjoy a meal while keeping an eye on their kids. Additionally, children can have fun on the splash pad on warm days, and there are other outdoor games available near seating in the park.

Gift Shop

The gift shop is at the entrance where you can pick up your t-shirt or alligator souvenir. There are plenty of options.
